Histoires de Parfums Prolixe is a rich woody-spicy fragrance from the Édition Rare collection, built around the contrast of vivid spices, rose and a dark woody base. Ginger and cardamom open the composition with a dry, heated and slightly sharp character, joined by a touch of cinnamon. Rose and frankincense then emerge together, setting floral softness against smoky resinous depth and giving the fragrance a denser, more dramatic texture. Patchouli, tobacco and oud gradually take over in the base, adding earthiness, dry warmth and deep woods. Prolixe develops slowly and confidently, moving from its spicy opening into a rich combination of rose, incense and tobacco. There is very little lightness here — the fragrance is full-bodied, smoky and textured, with florals constantly surrounded by woods, spices and resins.
