Histoires de Parfums Outrecuidant is a rich woody-leather fragrance from the Édition Rare collection, built around the contrast between vivid fruits, spices and a dark woody base. Grapefruit, blackcurrant and pineapple create a juicy, slightly tart opening before the composition quickly becomes drier and spicier. Saffron, cardamom and orange blossom then emerge, setting soft floral sweetness against warm spices and gradually leading the fragrance into a deeper direction. In the base, leather blends with sandalwood, cedar, patchouli and labdanum, creating a dense, dry and resinous finish. Outrecuidant moves from a bright fruity opening into a darker leather-woody drydown while maintaining a sense of tension throughout. Its boldness feels deliberate — the florals do not soften the leather, but instead make its character even more pronounced.
