Amouage Decision 42 is a flanker of the original Decision, taking its familiar structure in a denser, darker and more concentrated direction. The opening combines bergamot, pink pepper, cardamom, neroli and cinnamon, where freshness quickly gives way to dry spice and warmth. Frankincense, myrrh, juniper, sandalwood and pine tar then shape a smoky, resinous and slightly austere heart. Patchouli, cedarwood, vanilla and labdanum soften the base, adding volume and warm amber depth. Compared with the original Decision, this version feels richer, more concentrated and more suited to evening wear while preserving its recognizable woody-spicy identity. On skin, the fragrance develops gradually from a bright, spicy opening into a darker, drier and more resinous core. The drydown becomes smoother and warmer without losing the structured character of the composition.
